Beolab 28 is a fully active loudspeaker, with each driver individually powered and controlled. Adaptive Directional Sound
Beolab 28 gives you control over how sound fills the room. Using Beam Width Control, the soundstage can be focused into a narrow, intimate listening zone or widened to envelop the entire space. The movement of the wooden or fabric curtains visually reflects this change, turning acoustic control into a tangible experience.
Beam Width Control
Beolab 8 allows the sound dispersion to be shaped according to the listening situation. Narrow mode focuses sound toward a primary listening position for immersive and detailed listening, while Wide mode distributes sound more evenly throughout the room. These modes can be selected via the Bang & Olufsen app or remote control, making it easy to adapt the sound to both focused and social listening.

Design & Craftsmanship
Beolab 28 is designed by Noto, continuing the design lineage established with Beolab 50 and Beolab 90. Its slim column form takes up minimal floor space while creating a strong architectural presence. A central aluminum backbone connects the upper and lower sections, concealing cables and creating the illusion that the speaker is floating above the floor.
Inside Denmark’s Factory 5, each aluminum component is precision-machined from 99.97% pure aluminum and individually inspected by hand. The speaker is wrapped in acoustically optimized fabrics or finished with wooden lamellas crafted from oak and walnut by long-term partners who have worked with Bang & Olufsen for decades. This combination of advanced engineering and traditional craftsmanship ensures Beolab 28 remains timeless in both performance and appearance.
